Admiralty Survey Ship HMS Vidal, Blackwall Reach, The Thames, North Greenwich March 1954. Chatham built Vidal, was the first ship built for the Admiralty after WW2 specifically for survey duties and the first of the type to have a helicopter flight deck and hanger.
